Privacy policy
HireLith LLC (“HireLith”, “we”) runs hirelith.com, the HireLith candidate and employer accounts, and a staffing business in Texas. This policy explains what we collect, why, who sees it, and how to delete it. Plain language; no surprises.
What we collect
- Candidates: name, email, phone, address, current and past roles, resumes and the text we extract from them, your answers to employer questions, consent records (what you agreed to, when, from which IP address), and the applications and alerts you create. If you request an AI resume review we store the review.
- Employers: your name, work email, phone, company details, the roles you post and the notes you keep on applicants.
- Visitors: ordinary server logs (IP address, pages, browser) kept for security, and anonymous aggregate analytics. We do not use advertising cookies or third-party trackers.
How we use it
- To run your account, show you roles, send applications to employers and send you the alerts you asked for.
- To screen and submit you to a client when you work with a HireLith recruiter — a verified phone, a recorded screening and a background check are only done with your explicit consent for each.
- To produce the AI resume review you request. The review is generated by a large language model (Anthropic’s Claude); your resume is sent for that purpose only and is not used to train models.
- To contact employers who request talent, and to keep our own records in our business system (Odoo, hosted on servers we control).
- Text messages: we send SMS only to verify your phone and, if you separately opt in, for recruiter contact. Reply STOP to end messages; message and data rates may apply. Consent to SMS is never a condition of using HireLith.
Who sees it
Employers see your application only for the roles you apply to, and HireLith clients see your profile only when you agree to be submitted. We never sell personal information and we do not operate a resume database that recruiters can search. Service providers that process data for us: Cloudflare (hosting, bot protection), Google Workspace (email), Twilio (SMS verification and phone lines), Anthropic (AI resume review and job-description rewriting), and background-check providers when you consent to a check. Each is bound to use data only to provide its service.
Public job listings
The board includes roles posted directly by employers and public postings aggregated from licensed job feeds and company career pages. Aggregated listings are rewritten for clarity and link to the original posting. If you are an employer and want a listing removed or corrected, email hello@hirelith.com.
Security and retention
Phone numbers and street addresses are encrypted at rest; sign-in links and sessions are stored as hashes; resumes are stored on access-controlled storage. We keep candidate accounts while they are active and for 24 months after the last sign-in, employer accounts while they are active, and application records for as long as required for staffing compliance (generally two years), unless you ask us to delete sooner.
Your choices
- Delete: the account page has a delete button that removes your profile, resumes, reviews and applications immediately and replaces your email with a tombstone so it cannot be re-used.
- Export or correct: email careers@hirelith.com (candidates) or hello@hirelith.com (employers) and we will respond within 30 days.
- Alerts and marketing: every email has an unsubscribe link; we do not send marketing SMS.
- Texas and other state rights: you may request access, correction, deletion and portability, and we will not treat you differently for exercising those rights.
Children
HireLith is for people 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone younger.
